Yenching Alumni London Meet-Up

In early December 2021, a couple of Yenching Alumni from the 1st and 5th cohort, as well as some Yenching Scholars from 6th cohort enjoyed a little reunion in central London.

Tian Meng (2015 Yenching Scholar): “It was such a great joy seeing each other after quite a while, we celebrated going through another tough yet awesome year, and us all being safe and well!”

Yan Zhaoyi (2019 Yenching Scholar): “In Chinese we have an old saying ‘On festive occasions more than ever one misses the dear ones far away’. It’s particularly true when I’m having my first Christmas time and New Year celebration in a totally different country 5000 miles away from my homeland. Thanks to YCA people, loneliness was defeated. Our reunion in London provided me with another home here, surrounded by much of love and happiness.”

Casey Wang (2020 Yenching Scholar): “As a Yenching Scholar, I have a friend in almost every new place I visit. In this case, I visited London, where several of us now live. We were so happy to gather together, share our cross-cohort YCA stories, and celebrate the upcoming exhilarating new year.”
