Morrison Cleaver, UK (2023 Yenching Scholar)

Morrison Cleaver is a Policy Analyst in the Beijing office of the China–Britain Business Council, focusing on policy analysis and government affairs related to UK–China trade and investment. He earned his Master's in China Studies (Politics and International Relations) at the Yenching Academy of Peking University after a China Studies undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge, which included a year in Taiwan. At the session, he is keen to share how his years of studying China led to a career that builds on his academic training, while outside of work he enjoys football and classical Chinese poetry.

Aneka Rebecca Rajbhandari, Nepal (2024 Yenching Scholar)

Aneka Rebecca Rajbhandari is a second-year Yenching Scholar specializing in Politics and International Relations. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Peking University, becoming the first Nepali to complete a full Chinese-taught program, and is also the co-founder of The Araniko Project, a research advisory firm on Nepal–China relations. She has authored books and articles for think tanks and major news outlets. At Yenching, she contributes to a collaborative research project with the Asian Development Bank, works as an editor at PKU’s Office of Global Communications, and focuses her research on China–South Asia relations.
